Today we discussed two articles that at first made us think…how is this of any importance to humanity? And we did discuss that although, this quite specific rewearch may not seem to have a big picture idea driving it, it is a stepping stone for greater ideas of research. Which then drived our discussion towards a group project in which we werer hypothetically offered 15 million dollars to take the single remaining larva of one species of coral, and repopulate it throughout the world. We then had some argumentation with other groups trying to prove or disprove why their idea would or would not work/be too risky. And that’s the beauty of science, it’s not exact.
