Marine Biology Day 8

0

Today was a very exciting and great day. We started the day off by filling out a sheet on last nights readings. Then we discussed the amazing mimic octopus. It was an awsome discussion because we discussed how these amazing creatures use very cool camoflouge techniques to evade predators. One of their technoques is to group all oftheir tentacles together and fold them behind their body to imitate a flounder. This helps them move faster. Then we went onto discuss an article about whether ecotourism has any effect on great white sharks. We came to the conclusion that the evidence presented showed thpat there was no dorect corollation between ecotuorism and the behavior of great white sharks. Then the fun part of class then soon began. We disected a perch and a dogfish shark. It was really cool because we were able to examine all pf their organs and both the fish and the shark were injected with pink latex so we could see the circulatory system. It was another great day in marine biology.
