Day 13

0

Today was hump day and another fine day of the BVI. We began our day by eating breakfast as usual. Afterwards, we learned how to do transect a reef. We learned how to lay down a line on the reef. Then, we practiced observation techniques. Later, after the rest of the class, we had lunch and then went to this quaint little beach to go snorkeling. It was very fun because the beach is surrounded by a barrier reef so there are many creaturesthat inhabit it. I for one saw a three foot grouper, along with some jellyfish. I also saw this monsterous shark. It must have been 40 feet long. The thing almost ate Hayden but I wrestled the shark and punched it in the nose. Thankfully it swam away and no one ws hurt. Just kidding! We haven’t seen any sharks in the waters – only fish, squid, and the like. After snorkeling,we went back to our resort and prepared to go to the baths. The Baths is this very cool area that has many boulders on the beach. Itwas very cool because the placement and erosion of the granite made very cool pockets of rock on the walls along with many caverns and pools. Later we went to eat dinner and then danced and listened to to tunes by the bay. Thats all.
