Today we reviewed the readings we had read the prior night regarding the origin of life. The two readings touched on the scientific and somewhat theological theories regarding the beginning of life. Prior to these readings I hadn’t really given this topic much thought. After reading the article I was assigned, my entire perception on the origin of life was changed. There are so many other theories that I hadn’t been introduced to. This reading really sparked a lot of abstract thinking regarding the origin of life. Next we went over plate tectonics. I had been introduced to this concept in middle school. What we went over today was a good review of what I had learned in the past. We did go over the composition of the earth which was something new I had not been introduced to. The way the earth is composed with it’s inner, outer cores, mantle, and crust affect the concept of plate tectonics. Today was another interesting and engaging class.
