Today in class, we started by reading and reviewing two articles. One of the articles was about how climate change affects fish migration paterns in the North Sea. We also looked at several different and interesting fields in which a Marine biologist might work. My partner scientist Connor Beach looked specifically at research scientists. These scientists work in the field to collect data and to use that data to prove or disprove theories. I also learned that an ichthyologist is a person who studies fish (behavior, development, etc.) and they are usually spcified to one species of class of fish as opposed to all kinds. Another field of marine biology that i learned about is marine oceanography. People in this field study waves, currents, tides, etc, and conditions of the ocean. They ask questions like where oil flows when it is spilled into the ocean.
