Day 11: Stinger Situations

1

The day began I was tired, probably because I had received little sleep. It was 4:00am, I sat in my new home. I was nervous and afraid, could I handle being away from my loving family, I’ll have to do my best. I go back to bed. An hour later I woke up only to find myself in a puddle…of tears…. I’m so afraid but I can’t let my classmates know, because I keep our group grounded.

I spent the remaining hour building a protective shell around my emotions.

On the boats I only knew of one person that could handle being my dive partner: experienced diver, Gabe Arango.

Our team was called the sea turtles, and even though this was supposedly just a practice dive, I was beautiful.

Our loving dive master Casey showed us the secret side of BVI, or she took off it’s mask. While we were down there we saw giant sting rays, sea cucumbers and many types of fish. I have too say this was a great start for a great trip.

Brody McClure over and out.
