Today we were officially introduced to the British Virgin Islands. We woke up at 8 in our cabins and got ready for the day. My roommates are Sean Lyden, Andrew Chittoor, Cesar Garcia, and Chris Lanyon. We then took a taxi to ate breakfast at Old Yard. After breakfast, the Dive BVI instructors, Casey, Jeff, Brian, and Laura gave us an overview of our trip. After the overview, we were ready for diving! We rode over to our boats and began getting ready to dive. We were spilt into 2 boats, Sea Monkey and Sea Dragon. I was on the Sea Dragon with 10 others. My boat buddy was Luke Curran. We finally started our dive at Valley Trunk and practiced various skills, such as mask clearing, maintaining buoyancy, and what to do if our regulator falls out of our mouths. After we practiced skills, we went swimming and saw various coral, fish, and shrimp. Then, we ascended and rode back to the marina. After we disassembled and took out gear off the boat, we saw Casey McNutt dissect 3 lion fish. After this, we rode back to our rooms, showered, and got ready for dinner. As we waited for dinner, we played frisbee. We then walked to Mad Dogs and ate pizza and dessert. After dinner we played a competitive game called corn hole. After playing corn hole, we watched videos over invasive species and global warming.
