First Day in the BVI

1

It was a beautiful first day here in the BVI. Last night we got off the boat late at night and got a quick snack and went on to bed, excited for the first day of diving. As we woke up refreshed and ready to go, we ate a wonderful breakfast and learned all about our eventful trip. All of us were so intrigued by what Casey had to say. As we all sat there antsy to get on the boat and jump in the water, we were served a wonderful buffet of sandwiches of many types. My favorite was the fish sandwich filled with mahi-mahi; it was delicious. Once we had all stuffed our stomachs, we headed to the boat where we were about to do our first dive. My buddy team is Me and Jeff Melsheimer, also accompanied with Joe Wengierski and Guy Harris. We all were super excited to get in the water and we enjoyed an awesome dive with our awesome instructor Casey. We saw many neat organisms such as a barracuda and Lionfish. Casey shot and killed three Lionfish, it was wicked cool. After the 47 minute dive we surfaced and everyone had great big smiles on their faces and looked ready to go back down. We took the boat back to the island where we showered up and went to dinner. The feast of great pizza was a blast, everyone enjoyed themselves. We watched two fascinating videos about Global Warming and Invasive Species. Tonight I will be going back to my casa where I am staying with Buck Lyon and Joe Wengierski, on a usual night we would stay up late playing video games and watching TV, but because we have such a great week planned ahead of us, I’m sure we are going to want to save our energy and go to sleep immediately. Well it has been a wonderful day and just can’t wait to wake up in the morning.
