For my marine BVI organism I researched the green sea turtle. The green sea turtle can grow up to 5 feet and mainly lives in tropical waters.Their diet mainly consists of plants, squids, crabs, and other small sea creatures. The habitat of these sea turtles is different for the adult turtles and premature turtles. The adult green sea turtles mainly live in coral reefs, while the premature turtles tend to live and develop a little farther away from the shore. Another interesting fact about these turtles is that they can live up to 100 or more years! When a female turtle is pregnant it goes up to a beach and buries approximately 100 eggs. After this the mother abandons the eggs and returns back to sea. Then after several months the eggs hatch and the newly born have to race to shore in order to avoid being eaten by predators. This are just a few important facts about sea turtles life and interaction.
