I had a great start to my day today (no chickens). I slept right through my alarm. Once I woke up I brushed my teeth, got my gear together and headed out for another incredible day. Our taxi arrived a little later today and we were taken directly to the marina to get eat breakfast and then head out for our two tank dive of the wreck of the Rhone. For breakfast we had eggs, sausage, and banana bread. It was very good. Next we headed out on a 30 min boat ride filled with great views of a lot of the spectacular BVI islands. Once are ride was over and we arrived at Salt Island (wreck of the Rhone site) we were briefed on what we where going to and the gathered our gear together. During our first dive of the wreck we went 80 feet under! We then swam through the bow and the first class cabins of the ship. During this dive I we saw a gigantic crab whose claws where the size of my head and many other really interesting fish including a giant Angel fish as well as a huge school of squirrel and parrot fish. After this we went up and hung out on the deck of the boat for around an hour and a half. During this we listened to Casey give us the history of the Rhone and how it sank. Did you know the Rhone and the Titanic are the only two ships ever to say the are unsinkable. After this discussion we went back down to do dive number two. During this really cool dive we went into the stern of the ship, saw the ships propeller, and many other parts of the Rhone. On this dive we also saw a huge grouper which came within two feet of my face, a lobster, and an octopus! After this we went out to cooper island were we hung out and ate lunch. For lunch we had fish and chips and they were incredible. Then we took a tour of all the green friendly resources that the cooper island beach club had. After this we went on a really amazing snorkel right in front of copper island. During this snorkel we saw a massive sting ray as well as about a 4 foot barracuda. We then went back to virgin Gorda and got ready for diner. At diner I ate a cheese burger and fries and it was great.
