Today was another great day but sadly it has come to an end. We woke up as usual and headed to breakfast. When breakfast was over Casey began her presentation. She talked about the dangers of overfishing and issues with the techniques that are sometimes used. We then began to speak about coral preservation and learned that sharks are needed to clean up the reefs. When we were done talking about corals Casey began to speak to us about laying transect lines in the ocean. She explained how to lay it, how far up and out to count the fish and that after every 20m we need to stop counting for 5m before continuing to count for another 20m again. When Casey was done our taxi picked us up and took us to Savannah Bay. Savannah Bay was beautiful but before we went out and snorkeled, Casey walked us through the motions of laying the transact line. She laid it out on the sand and and gave us an idea of how long it would be. When she was done we had lunch on the beach. As soon as I finished lunch I put my mask, snorkel, and fins on and went out to snorkel. I saw some really cool stuff! I saw a moon jellyfish, trumpetfish, butterfly fish and many others. After a while we had to come back to shore and observe some creatures Andrew and Casey caught. Soon after the cab arrived and we went back to guavaberry for an hour before we were back on the cab and headed to The Baths. The Baths was a great time and we walked through the path which led us to Devils Bay. Devils Bay was really cool and we all had a great time hanging in the water. Finally, the last part of the day came, dinner at Baths and Turtle. This restaurant was in Spanish Town and it was a buffet style meal. We finished dinner and headed out to the marina to listen to the DJ play his beats. Some of us danced but quickly sat back down due to the fact no one else was dancing. We hung out there for a while before we headed back to guava berry and called it a night.
