Day 11 – Redefining “Field Trip”

After a alarm clock malfunction, we awoke and organized our gear for the day. After a brief orientation session with the hotel’s owner, we boded our taxi, Speedy’s, for breakfast. We arrived at a beautiful hotel and were greeted by our four guides for the week. Sam, Andrew, Casey, and Jeff. They walked us through the program and highlighted our itineraries for the week.

We went into some of the basics of marine life in the BVI as we ate breakfast. Later in the day, we took Speedy’s to our boats, where we split up into two teams Sea Monkey and Sea Lion. I was in Sea Lion along with 9 other divers. After a briefing and a quick trip, we dove in the water to complete Part One of our Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty.
