Day 3 In the Caymans

0

Just like yesterday we started the day out at breakfast with the amazing ocean view. We boarded the boat and went to out first dive site: Big Tunnels. It was one of the coolest and most interesting things I have ever experienced because of the color and depth, and the way that we swam through the coral. I saw many parrot fish again as well as a pretty good size grouper. It was not so much the fish but the way we swam through the coral that made the experience so amazing, and it was amazing how we were hanging out around 90 feet.

We then went diving at Bonnies Arch which was a very colorful reef similar to the reefs yesterday. The dive was shallower and longer than Big Tunnels but was still very intriguing. We got to witness very colorful coral along with many Sargent majors and I saw my first four eye butterfly fish. One of my favorite parts about these dives is being able to name these fish and recognize them while I am under the water.

After the dives I had a very fun and exciting day at the resort. We payed an extremely competitive game of pool volleyball, where my team won. We also went snorkeling where we saw a baby lion fish. The current was extremely strong though and there were not that many fish out. We then also just hung out in the ocean and jumped into the waves. We finally ended our day with a very interesting Netflix documentary called Mission Blue about Dr. Sylvia Earle and her mission to try and save man kind from destroying our oceans/ All in all it was a very fun and interesting day with countless adventure and memories that will hopefully carry through tomorrow and the rest of the days to come.
