My last day scuba diving here at Virgin Gorda started off with breakfast served by Alamander. After breakfast we headed off to our last two tank dives. I was super excited to dive at Kodiak Queen which is one of the five boats that survived Pearl Harbor and was sunken in the BVI. When we got to Kodiak Queen we had a short briefing and then got in the water. My favorite part of the dive was swimming through the sunken ship and seeing all of the cool props in each room. After our really cool dive at Kodiak Queen, we went to the Dive BVI coral nursery to clean and measured all of the coral trees. Me and my dive buddy, Charlie Cole, were in charge of cleaning and measuring Tree 2. Watching the movie Chasing Coral last night helped to make my experience of cleaning the coral nursery more gratifying. After cleaning the coral nursery, we headed over to the Mangroves and ate lunch there. I again made a turkey and ham sandwich. Following that, we put our snorkel gear on and snorkeled the mangroves which was actually pretty cool especially after hearing about how the trees live there. On the snorkel I saw a bunch of jelly fish and one of them actually stung one of my classmates. I also saw a big hermit crab and an interesting stingray. When we finished with the fun snorkel, we headed back to Yacht Harbor and had some time to work on our projects. Today was a great day to get away from Yacht Harbor and explore some very cool areas that we have not been to before.
