After hosting an amazing breakfast this morning at our cabin, we learned that we would be spending our day turtle tagging and snorkeling. The Sea Dragon Team started our day off with an excursion to Mango Bay to snorkel and identify invertebrates. Here we were tasked with the goal of trying to capture and identify the most amazing invertebrates possible without bringing harm to them. My good friend Dawson managed to capture a juvenile octopus that liked to throw objects at its observers. We then headed back to the harbor to have lunch. In the afternoon, the Sea Dragon team tried its shot at trying to tag turtles. Within the first five minutes of being in the water my partner, Zack and I came across our first turtle. After working on the turtle for a couple of minutes we went in for the grab, but the turtle decided to turn around, stare us down, and swim in between us. This evening we watched a depressing documentary on the global coral loss called Chasing Coral. I look forward to being able to dive the new wreck dive called Kodak Queen tomorrow.
