Today, I woke up happy that I would finally return to Dallas tomorrow. I approached everything with a skip in my step. During the service project, I constantly had a smile on my face as I hauled buckets of gravel and soil with a frayed rope that hurt my hands. I ate a donut and drank water for halftime to replenish my drained energy reserves. The overseer made sure we weren’t lazing around and put right back to work. Flecher and I hauled around huge buckets of dirt with efficiency and precision. There was no one else with as good as team work as us. I learned from the experience that landscaping is not an easy job and that I am very privileged to be going to Jesuit compared to other kids. Anyways, I enjoyed teriyaki wings for lunch with a cup of water. Then, we arrived back at the cabins to present our projects for the teachers and BVI staff. Our group presented our project very smoothly. We presented on the relation between algae and the volume plus diversity of fish. From the results given, we decided our experiment was ultimately inconclusive due to insufficient data. That concluded the day at the cabins.
That night, we went to a restaurant with an open buffet line. I piled heaps or barbecued chicken, ribs, macaroni, and rice. For dessert, I had a piece of chicken, ice-cream, and a brownie. We enjoyed a night of festivities, and someone, who is writing this blog, danced his heart out. Also, he took of his shirt to cheers of the audience. To finish off the night, we watched a video of our past accomplishments this week. To cap off the week of blogs, I look forward to going back to Dallas and seeing my family. And on that final bombshell…Robby Freimuth out.
