July 17-18
we started off another day by having breakfast. It was at the Jasmine Cabin this time. I had a banana nut muffin and some cereal and a chocolate donut too. So a pretty healthy breakfast overall. After eating, we headed back to our cabin to get organized to go pick up trash washed up ashore near the water plant. It was a peaceful time while picking up trash. You really felt what it meant to be part of the Jesuit community. We pulled out all kinds of stuff. There was a lot of plastic bottle caps and tangled up fishing lines and nets. We took a break in the middle of picking up trash to drink some water and have some snacks. I filled about three bags all together of mostly thin strands of fishing lines and bottle caps. The weirdest thing I saw was a toothbrush. After the beach, we headed towards Yacht Harbor with our driver named Glenn. We got there and I bought two shirts. We spent about forty five minutes shopping and looking at stuff before eating at the Yacht Club. Once at the restaurant, I ordered a shrimp and crabmeat wrap. After eating, we headed back to Guavaberry to get ready for our presentations. We went down to the commissary and payed our bill for what we had bought and then went on to present to the teachers and instructors. As soon as my group and I walked in, we saw all the instructors and teachers. We presented just fine and then went on to the beach and then to dinner at the top of the bass were we saw a recap of the trip in a photo presentation. I really liked this trip and this time with my brothers. I am looking forward to go back to Dallas and see my family.
