Marine Biology Day 7

0

Today was a day full of energy and excitement. We started off the class with four students presenting their individual articles to the rest of the students. The two acrticles weren’t that interesting because they seemed very familiar and similar to other articles that we have already discussed. Then we immediately transitioned into a group activity about the different processes of transporting coral larvae into the ocean. It was cool hearing about everyone else’s plans. I thought everyone had good points that they contributed to the overall discussion. I know my group added good and raw material. Some other groups didn’t agree with us, but deep down I know we tried our best. We had the simple and in-expensive process of growing coral instead of the complex expensive processes. This activity tied into marine biology very well. Marine Biology is all about protecting the environment and marine life, so tryiong to figure out ways to save coral reefs is very important to marine biology.
