7/16/2014: First day in BVI
The first day in the beautiful British Islands started when I woke up to a bird singing outside my window, not something I experience in Dallas very often. Once everyone was awake and dressed we met Casey and the rest of the Dive BVI staff for breakfast, introductions, and a short class about the marine life in BVI. After the class we ate lunch, and went to the harbor to embark on our journeys. I, and the rest of marine 1 rode on the Sea Monkey to George Dog island where I had the pleasure to snorkel with Doc. While snorkeling I saw moon jelly fish, angelfish, and several other species of marine life. After the snorkel/dive, everyone loaded back up onto the Sea Monkey to head back to the marina. There we rinsed off our gear and headed back to guavaberry to get ready for dinner at the Top of the Baths restaurant. At the restaurant there was an unbelievable view of the sun setting over the water with the islands in the background. Overall, today was great day and I can only imagine what the rest of the trip has in store!
