After my forth day in paradise, I am still not used to the 7:30 AM wake up call. I quickly got up from my sleep to stop my alarm clock from ringing and began my journey to the Guavaberry internet cafe for breakfast. Once again, Casey supplied us with another delicious breakfast of donuts, cereal, and fruit. After breakfast, we were divided up by our boats, mine was team dragon. Team dragon got to search for turtles first. We used a technique called “manta tow” which was basically a life preserver tied to a rope that we would hold onto while Jeff would pull us around with the boat. We saw many green turtles but we were not able to catch any. It was an experience that not many people get to do to even attempt to catch a turtle. After turtle hunting, Glenn the bus driver drove us down to savannah bay to hear another one of Caitlin’s informative talks. This one was all about invertebrates like sea urchins, sea slugs, and other creatures. After a nice day at the beach we headed back to our huts to shower and go to mad dogs for a delicious dinner. After dinner and more frisbee, Jeff jr., the one with the handlebar mustache, and jeff sr., the one with the slightly less impressive facial hair, shared some of their aged wisdom like to tell your future wife “Yes honey, you’re right” twice a year” as well as giving Henry, Christian and I an list of action thrillers back when they didnt have computer animated video affects.
