Second day, gingers backside

1

After waking up at 7:00 A.M and an awesome breakfast, we heated over to the baths. These are huge basalt rocks which were formed millions of years ago by lava that seeped through cracks in the earth. As we climbed through the cracks, we saw xenoliths which were rocks that froze in the lava while it cooled. After exiting in devils bay, we donned our snorkel equipment and began snorkeling back to the entrance to the baths. The reefs were swarmed with fire coral after returning to the beach, we enjoyed some ham/turkey sandwiches while listening to caitlin’s fish identification lesson. We then boarded our taxi for the docks and went to ginger’s backside. This was the western side of ginger’s island. There, we dove and were able to see some trumpetfish, trunkfish, nassau grouper and some other fish. We then came back after the dive and enjoyed some turkey and tunafish wraps for dinner. Today was a lot of fun and the rest of the week is looking promising.
