Greetings parents and friends! We had a GREAT day today but it went a bit longer than the others. This is just a quick update – the guys are in bed getting ready for another busy day tomorrow.
We got up early and headed to the boats to dive and build the Jesuit reef using the structures they created yesterday. The guys did an amazing job putting together their individual reefs underwater using only lift bags and zip ties. We had lunch on the boats and returned for mass. Mass was special – there we only 2 other people in the church and our guys served as the lectors and acolytes. We came back to our cabins and then had a scrumptious BBQ while watching the sun set over the bay. We stayed on the beach for a night snorkel and finished the day a bit late, hence the reason we sent the guys to bed before blogging. Tomorrow will be our last full day and it will be spent diving for lionfish and doing a community service project. The guys will be providing more commentary on the today when they blog tomorrow, but we wanted to keep you posted on the happenings. Several pictures have been posted on Twitter (@jcpmarinebio).
