Moray Eels

0

Moray Eels have small eyes, so they rely on their keen sense of smell. They generally wait in holes and burrows to catch their pray. They have large teeth and wide jaws. Also, they have a second set of jaws called pharyngeal jaws inside their throat that they use for capturing and restraining prey. Moray Eels feed on fish, cephalopods, mollusks, and crustaceans. They secrete a mucus over their skin for protection. This mucus contains toxins in some species.
