Days Eleven and Twelve

0

The past two days have been very exciting. Yesterday was full of traveling with two different flights. The first, from DFW to San Juan was actually not that bad. Though a little long, there was a lot to do. We watched The Adjustment Bureau and some random TV shows, listened to music, and played poker. When we got to San Juan, we were all very hungry, but had to eat quick as our flight was about to leave. The San Juan to Virgin Gorda flight was quick, and we also rode in a very small plane. Once there, it started to pour. After we made it through Customs, we met up with the people of Dive BVI and took a very fast, thrilling boat ride to our hotel: the Guavaberry Resort. With a very hard down-pour going on, we ran to our rooms, threw down our bags, and got ready to go to sleep. To our surprise, there was a bag with some Chef Boyardee, chips, and cookies for us to eat along with a T-shirt. Then, after killing some bugs, we finally went to sleep.

The next day was even more fun. We woke up to head down for a meeting with the manager of our resort. After hearing a little bit about procedures and such, we left for an orientation about what we would be doing this week. Before we started, we were treated to breakfast which consisted of a casserole, fruit, muffins, and other things. The orientation was very informative and included things on certain creatures and environmental issues. This was followed with a lunch of sandwiches and fries. With our stomachs full, we finally left for our dives! The boat I am on for the week is the Sea Dragon. At the marina, we drove out to a shallow area and jumped in with all our gear. Down in the water, we reviewed some skills and were able to look at things like coral, little fish, and even some stingrays! We then headed to the surface where we dried off and went back to land. Tonight we are going down to the beach to have a barbeque. Well, these two days have been very eventful.

Happy Fourth of July!!!!!
