I woke kind of late so I was rushed through breakfast and packing. But once I was on the same page with everyone we were heading back to NELHA. At NELHA we received a grand tour of how the air conditioning worked. My first specific topic is how the A/C worked which basically ran deep sea water in tiny tubes bunched together to have the incoming air cold. Though some days it just doesn’t work. Then we got to see the aquaculture which will be my second specific topic. The aquaculture has to grow their own fish food and figure out which fish food works for specific fish. They also donate their fish to aquariums around the world when they’re done with them. After the aquaculture we got another tour but this time of some shelled creatures. At the end of the tour we got to eat some, which was pretty good. After this we headed back to the houses and got some burgers. We had a while to rest before we left the houses for the blackwater dive. The blackwater dive was my favourite part and my third specific topic. The blackwater dive is for experienced divers so only half of our group got picked to do the dive, I was luckily in that group. The dive was a total of 20 mins and during the dive we had to hold onto a 40 foot rope with one hand and a flashlight with our other hand. So basically no camera. We saw what is the largest migration in the world first hand and it was bright. Many of the creatures seemed very otherworldly. After that we headed back to the houses very tired.
