After a long and overwhelming day of travel, we finally arrived in this beautiful and tropical environment. The exhilarating ride up the canyon road lead us to our private housing compound, our home for the week. As soon as exiting the van, we eagerly explored the wooded environment. The narrow winding pathways and short trees leads to searching for mangos and avocados. As normal, this oceanic environment adds an extra level of humidity that we do not normally experience at home. I can not wait to experience diving for the first time in the ocean environment. The ability to see throughout the crystal clear water and explore the different marine life is something I do not often get to experience. I have never been up close and personal with a shark more or less a tiger shark. Scuba diving will offer a different experience than to what I am used while snorkeling. In conclusion, this trip will offer a new adventure with new surprises and allow me to spend time with my Jesuit brothers.
