I chose to take marine biology because I have an interest in biology but mostly because I have never SCUBA dived and am eager to try. I do not have any diving experience other than the four hour class that I took yesterday as the first forth of my certification. That was really fun and I am excited for the...

Why marine bio?

I joined marine biology so i could learn more about the life i see under the water. I have done more than 25 dives and have registered over 18 hours underwater. I am certified in open water and peak performance buoyancy. I am looking forward to studying the marine life inthe BVI.

1. I thought that it would be a fun, unique experience, and I enjoy learning about biology. 2. I am an Open Water Certified Diver with a Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty, but I have not been on any ocean dives yet. 3. I am really looking forward to the night dive and seeing diverse species of aquatic life.

Day 1

Walking into the airport on Tuesday morning, I was filled with excitement. After over a year of anxiously awaiting the trip, the time had finally come to enjoy my passion. It seemed like I was the most excited person there after annoying everyone by saying how excited I was over and over again. I have no problem with flying...

(I only microwaved the macaroni and cheese, not the granola bars...) Today... I woke up at about 6:15 to hundreds of mosquito bites on my legs, which is a very itchy way to...

Day one, I explore the great chimney.

Today, we woke up and boarded our taxi to go to breakfast and our last classroom lesson. In the class, we got a quick fish I.D. Lesson and we got debriefed on our week. We were then split up into our boat groups and we left for our first dive. We had a 15 minute ride out to the...

Day 4

Last night I went to bed around 10-10:30 and woke up around 7 today. Finally getting 8 hours of sleep was very necessary and made me feel so much more refreshed. After I packed, my cabin and I walked down to the entrance where we met everyone and got a ride from the taxi to the marina for breakfast....

I picked marine biology this summer for a getaway vacation away from the family. Although I have no previous diving experience, I believe it would be fun. The thing I am looking forward to the most is feeling weightless in the water.
