Day 5-Week 2-Cole N.

This morning was the same as the other 4 except today our cabinet was the one that served breakfast to everyone, and afterwards we met down at the cattleguard to go to the marina. After we arrived at the marina we had to get onto the boats to go to the wreck of the Kodiak Queen, and for once both boats went to the same location. The boat had a large kraken on the back of the boat that was made by an artist before the boat was sunk. The boat was also one of the 5 boats that survived Pearl Harbor and was eventually left down in the BVI. The dive was really interesting as we began the dive by the front of the boat then swam up to the rail and took a couple pictures. Afterwards we swam down the port side of the boat towards the back propeller. We then swam through a hole in the starboard side of the boat and looked around inside the boat. After we finished with that dive we drove down towards the beach that we had visited yesterday and worked on the coral nursery down there. To clean the nurseries we broke into groups if two then used brushes to clean of the PVC and wires holding the coral, and we also used a razor the clean off some of the other coral on the PVC. The work was honestly boring as we stayed in one spot for the entire dive. When we finished we drove a bit off then tied the two boats together and had lunch on the sea. While the boats were tied together we spent about 30 mins diving off the boats looking at the fish and other wildlife that live near mangroves. At the beginning of the dive it was really interesting to see all the jeuvenile fish such as barracuda but further in there was a huge amount of upside down jellyfish. To finish off our time on the ocean we did a snorkel around some mangrove trees. After we finished with that we returned to the resort and spent about two hours on our project.
