Day 2 Marine 2

0

Today started off strange, we woke up sore, but with no rooster screeching at 6:45. So we slept in a little bit and then headed over to breakfast at the Plum Cabin. Then we set out to do our first two dive for our research project. Our project is comparing the difference between parrotfish and grouper at feeding stations. We sit around the station for ten minutes and count how many of each come and participate in the cleaning. While finding our sites, we saw several reef sharks and even Dolphins! Then, after the dives we went to a local restaurant and had lunch. Then the groups split up, and the Marine 2 group went to Necker Island. This is a resort type island with a lot of imported animals such as lemurs, tortouise, and parrots. We even got to go in the cages of the lemurs and feed them. Then, we rode back on the boat and had a delicious spaghetti dinner. After dinner we went out on the beach and threw the frisbee then returned to the cabins to get ready for bed.
