Day 2

0

The second day in the BVI started with the Plum cabin serving breakfast, after breakfast we had a two tank dive that were both for the reasearch project.  On the way to the first dive we saw dolfins while on the boat, while under the water we marked off the two areas and collected the data about algae and coral health, on the way back we saw a Caribbean reef shark that was about 4 feet long.  We ended up going about 45 feet down and saw many types of fish including a ton of needle fish in the staghorn coral.  When we went under the water to the second research point we saw about a 60 year old lobster that was 3/4 foot long including the antennae, it was kind of hidden under a rock.  After moving on from the lobster I saw two little squids that swam really fast when they saw us, next we marked our are off again and reasearched.  After we had lunch at a restaurant that served all types of food, we went back to the cabins for a while and then went for a walk to a beach that had rock caves thing and little coves every once in a while which was called the baths, after going to one of the cove beach things we went on a snorkel swim back to the beach where are cabins are, during the snorkel we saw a pufferfish, squids, and little clear jellyfish that just floated near the top of the water and then we went to the cabins for a little and then went to go eat at the comminsary and then just hung out for a while at the beach and played ultimate frisbee.
