First Day in the BVI

0

After a full day of travel and a few hours of sleep we were greeted by the sound of roosters. We headed down to get on the bus to go get fresh omelets down by the marina. After being introduced to all of the dive staff we broke up into our dive groups. We boarded the sea dragon and embarked on our journey to the first dive site. After a dive briefing we descended to get a skills refresher and adventure the surrounding reefs. After a short boat dive we arrived at our second dive location. There our instructor quizzed us on the several fish species including trumpet fish and sand divers. We then traveled through underwater tunnels and cracks. The same place Custeau the first true marine biologist dove. Then after an amazing dive we headed back to have a picnic on our hotel beach. After a short rest we jumped into the water for a snorkel to the famous baths. There we explored and learned about geo engineering. On our snorkel back we saw a massive hermit crab and a large fish I am yet to identify. After a much needed shower we get ready for dinner and preparing to present our research project to our dive master. I can hardly wait for the adventures and knowledge we will acquire tomorrow.
