Last Day In BVI

0

Today felt much different then every other day I have had in the BVI simply because today I spent my last hours on those islands. I started by waking up at around 6:15 or so in order to make sure everything I needed to bring home was all ready. Once I checked my bags for the last time I laid out on the balcony and soaked in the last few hours I would experience this summer. We got on the taxi and road to the sea wolf so we could be taken to the airport. On the way to the airport we ate care package snacks but I spent most of my time looking at all the islands around us and watching the water crash against the boat. After making it to the dock we said goodbye to two of the people that made it possible to do this trip, Casey and Jeff. We said our goodbyes and said farewell to the BVI when we walked into the airport to leave. But before we left we payed our dues to old queen and country with a $20 exit fee. Once we took off from the airport I then process in my head a goodbye to one of the greatest experiences of my life. I realize I still had a 6 hour layover with another 5 hour flight ahead but I would be scuba diving with dive BVI that day. During those hours I reflected how I could write what I was feeling today. The easiest way possible to put this is that a trip as small as a week long can and did leave an impact on me that will last me until the day I die, and will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you everyone who made this trip possible for me and my classmates!
