Diving in The Ginger’s Backside

0

I woke up today exhausted from the previous day of diving. I fought the temptation to lay back in bed and got dressed and packed up for the day. Then, with the rest of my cabin, I walked to the cattle guard to meet up with the rest of the group. Once we all got gathered we went to the commissary for a breakfast of banana bread and cereal. Once we were all done we went to The Baths, which is a trail made of very very old rocks that protrude from ocean due to the collision of tectonic plates over time. Once we finished the walk through, we ended up on a beach, and swam out to begin snorkeling back to the beach next to where we are staying. Throughout the snorkel, Caitlin was pointing out all of the different types of fish so that we eventually absorb the information and can begin to be able to ID the fish on our own. Once we made it back to the beach we had lunch and a small lesson on the types of reef fish. After lunch we went to the marina to get to our dive boat to start the best part of the day. We went to The Ginger’s Backside. On this dive I reached the lowest depth in my short career of diving of 60 ft. The most interesting thing I saw on this dive was a Christmas tree worm, because you could scare it by snapping your finger next it it and it would go into hiding in a blink of an eye. After the dive we went to Mad Dog’s and had wraps for dinner. Then we played frisbee. All in all it was a good day. Love and miss my fam!!!! XOXOxoXoOx
