Day 4 BVI

Today was the day everyone was excited about from t he beginning. We go and dive the Rhoane shipwreck. I awoke on my own to find our safe to be broken. There were 3 passports, a laptop, 3 iPads, 2 iPhones, and 2 wallets locked inside. Not good. I could not submit the previous days blog or my blog for today.we then went strait to the marina to get started on the diving. We ate a breakfast of muffins and fruit before taking a 30 min boat ride to the dive site. The waves were very strong and it was difficult to even hold on to the line before descending some 75 ft to the dive site. The wreck was amazing. It was a steam ship that sunk in 1867 due to a hurricane and an exploding boiler. We dove the bow section first. It was amazing because of all the sponges and unique wildlife found on this artificial reef. This reef is perfect for animals and it brought a lot of life to an area that would most likely never have any. We swam through a section of the boat and just before entering the swim through, my buddy Alex curry and I saw a massive barracuda swim right in front of us. Luckily, I did not get stung by any fire coral this time while going through a swim through. We ascended and then did a surface interval of about 1h 30min to insure no one got decompression sickness. Then we dove the stern section where there was a very strong current that prevented any of us to swim very efficiently or fast and it made us all very tired. We swam through the propeller of the sunken boat and resurfaced to head back to the marina. We went back to the condos then headed to mad dogs for some lasagna dinner. I played corn hole with Alex Dieste and we dominated winning 3 games in a row, 11-0. I was a great day and I can’t wait to get up early again tomorrow and do the same thing.
