British virgin islands – day six

1

Sorry blog follower that this one is a little late, we just got back from a night snorkel. Today was our service project day. We were given the task to help paint a huge wall that was about 50 yards long and 8 feet tall. It was a pretty quick and painless community service project. After we finished we ate lunch at Mad Dogs and had a few hours of down time. After down time we walked to the world famous Baths. The Baths are huge boulders that were slammed into the water thousands of years ago creating huge caves that have run off water from the ocean. We toured and c,ones through for around thirty minutes. I fell along the way and cut up my arm and leg pretty badly. We ended the tour at devils bay. There we began a snorkel trip back to beach next to the resort where we’re staying at. Along the way we saw not a whole lot of marine life, but that was expected. The snorkel lasted about an hour before we made it to the beach. Me, Gavin, and Clayton decided to stay in the water for another hour while Jeff, an instructor from the Dive BVI team grilled food for everybody. I had a burger and it was great. I’m really thankful that we’ve had such a great group of people who have put in so much effort to make sure we have a good time. after dinner Mr. Kirby randomly decided we should do a night snorkel. Almost everybody unanimously agreed that it would be an amazing experience. We got briefed for a little bit and headed into water with some flash lights. We immediately saw a stingray gliding along the sand and then a squid. We drifted around for half an hour looking at the different night life. We looked at the stars before leaving.
