The basslet fish are no more than 10 cm long, with the male most commonly being larger than the females. This species of fish is found in the western Atlantic and Caribbean areas. The central area of where this fish is located is florida. The twelve members of the basslets I the order of are found in this area. An important aspect of the basslet is that it is able to change its gender. To start with the basslets is basically bisexual in their nature for mating. In the basslets diet are fish, shrimp, squid etc. causing them to be considered a carnivorous fish. This fish can also be used in aquariums. It’s is very important to note it behavioral instinct before putting these fish into an aquarium. These are very aggressive fish and are very territorial according to other basslets around them. The presence of more than one male in an area will most likely result in issues of attacking each other.
