Day Ten – Colin Taylor

0

Today is our last class day and we spent most of it discussing our two articles. The first of which we discussed the importance of the fish that can walk on land, specifically its importance in the evolutionary chain. Which we decided it was not relevant or important because it is similar to saying humans evolved from monkeys. It is inaccurate and most importantly just plain ignorant. Moving on we discussed the lionfish (…again), and my only question is…is it an invasive species? Now for most of you that sounds like a legitimate question…but for my classmates they understand that we have discussed at least 7 times the invasiveness of the lionfish and their overrunning of the atlantic coast. So yes that question was battered and deepfried in sarcasm because frankly, if by this point we dont understand that lionfish are invasive, we’re gonna fail this class anyway. We finished up the class by discussing the different types of marine life ranging from bony fish to sea turtles. All in all it was a relatively relaxed day, and I’m quite excited that it’s less than a day away.

Awesome pic of the day
