Grand Caymans Day 7:

0

Today was our last day in the Caymans Islands, and wow were our last dives amazing. Our first dive was at Sandy Hole and that was absolutely amazing. During the dive i managed to see a Hawksbill Turtle. This turtle was eating some sponge while one of my buddies spotted it. this turtle’s main food source are the sponges on the reefs. I knew it was a Hawksbill because of the distinct pattern on the shell that was different from the Green Sea Turtle. I also spotted a Trumpet Fish today. This long fish was behind int in with tech coral, its long, skinny body let me know that it was indeed a Trumpet fish. Today’s dives were absolutely incredible and I was so thankful that I had great dive instructors that showed me the ocean and coral.

Our second dive was out Ocean Pointe. Our last dive was amazing. On this last dive I managed to see a small Lemon Ray. This ray was covered in sand to blend in with the ocean floor. The Lemon Ray is smaller than the other Atlantic Stingrays and I could tell by the body shape and size that it was the Lemon Ray. I also managed to see another Great Barracuda; at first I thought it was a Trumpet Fish but when I looked closer I saw the shiny scales, razor sharp teeth, and the fins. The barracuda was hovering in the water ready to strike. Today’s dives were amazing and the instructors couldn’t have been any nicer. This trip was amazing and I am thankful to have the opportunity to come to the Cayman Islands.
