Hawaii Day 3

0

On the third way of adventuring through the depths of Hawaii, we took a full team trip to the harbor to take our first dive of the trip. We arrived on the boat to the location of the first of the two dives we did in the day. Split into four different groups, I was in the third with three of the rising seniors at the trip. At this location, we were able to find a white tipped reef shark that was getting his teeth cleaned by another fish! I also saw two eels and a turtle on the way out to the sight. Traveling to the second site, I was accepted by the seniors into their hub on top of the boat and became an integrated piece of the crew. Reaching the second sight, the groups were the same and I was able to capture just a phew photos and videos before we reached the first eel. On this second dive, I saw 4 eels and a turtle swim by. Both of these dives were firsts for me outside the training dives, so any expectations I had were exceeded as these dives were so much fun. Concluding the day, we went back to our Monk Seal hospital and observed the one Monk Seal that is in care. The last activity of the day was the whole group observing a Blackwater dive presentation given by credited photographer Joshua Lambus (makafineart.com) and were able to check out his work with black water dives. Tomorrow, we leave early once again to go dive, eat lunch after, and end the day with a manta dive in the night time!
